Exceptional Spalted Maple Wooden Cremation Urn

I present to you here a truly exceptional spalted maple wooden cremation urn. Made from a piece longly and carefully preserved in my inventory with the intention of taking the time to create a piece worthy of its beauty. 
 
This piece of wood, too short and too thin to use my usual crafting method, led me to change techniques in order to double its apparent surface. Sliced in thickness and laminated on linden, this resolution of constraint also allowed me to create a mirror effect of this splendid wood pattern reminiscent of Chinese ink strokes. 
 
This unique funeral urn reminds me that sometimes one must take their time to allow beauty to emerge. It is a truly expressive work where nature speaks with such eloquence. If its beauty speaks to you, this urn may be the perfect piece to honor the memory of your loved one. 
 
The finish is a high-quality, environmentally friendly oil applied and polished by hand in multiple layers. It provides a protective and durable finish with a soft satin sheen that enhances the natural beauty of the wood. The interior has an additional layer of beeswax creating a smooth and soft surface to receive and protect the ashes of your loved one.
